Our Banquet Hall can hold more than 380 people and our theatre can hold 250+.
You could arrive as early as 9am to begin the day. Guests need to be out of the building by midnight, and the space must be vacated and cleaned no later than 1am.
Absolutely! Our large banquet hall makes it easy to transition from your ceremony to the reception.
We also offer a wedding package that allows you to hold your ceremony in our Theater, which holds over 250 guests, and then transition upstairs to the banquet hall for the reception.

Absolutely! There is more than enough room in our banquet hall for a DJ or a live band.
If you would like to come in the day before to set up we would be happy to add that on to your contract! If the day is available, we allow the day before setup at $100 dollars an hour or $600 for an eight hour block booked in advance.
We require cleanup to be completed by no later than 1am on the day of your rental. The room needs to be left the way it was found.
Don’t want to worry about cleaning up at the end of the night? We offer cleaning services for an additional fee of $600, or we can discuss the day after cleanup as an additional fee if the date is available.
We love recommending Berry Hill Resort! It is a very short drive from the Prizery and offers beautiful plantation scenery, and amazing amenities. They even have a spa! There are also multiple B&B options in South Boston and the surrounding area, such as The Charles Bass House, and Oak Grove Bed and Breakfast.
Yes! We have an elevator that travels to every floor of the building, and easy handicap access to our theater.
The earlier the better! We can book your date multiple years in advance.
The Prizery does have liability insurance, however renters are required to provide their own as well.
The deposit must be paid to lock in your rental date. After that, we will work with you to allow a payment plan that works for you! The full rental fee is due 90 days prior to your event.
We are one of the most affordable rental venues in the region! To rent our banquet hall it is $1,620 for a day (Friday-Sunday). This includes use of the space from 9am-midnight, full use of our catering kitchen, a rolling bar, 20+ large round tables, and 200+ chairs.
Date Change: With the way that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the world, we understand if your date needs to be pushed back. We ask that you let us know a month in advance, and work with us to find the next best date available for you.
Cancellation: We understand that things happen and sometimes cancellations need to take place. If you cancel 90 days or more prior to your event, you will receive a refund minus 25% of your initial deposit.
We have an amazing dressing room area in our building, as well as a conference room/ hang out space for the groomsman to get ready! We offer these as an additional part of your contract for only $100 per space.
Absolutely! To use the space for your rehearsal dinner the night before your wedding it is $600 for up to 5 hours.
If you are interested in hosting a cocktail hour, we can offer our main lobby or art gallery lobby for an additional fee.
Yes! If you choose to host your own bar for your event you can do so! You will have to acquire a Virginia liquor license for the day of your event.
Yes! We have a catering kitchen located in our banquet hall for your use. It includes a stove, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, as well as having direct access to the banquet hall.
We are fully licensed, Here is a list of the bar options we provide:
- Option 1: The Prizery will provide the alcohol, run the bar, lessee will be responsible for end of event payment based on consumption.
- The Prizery will provide bartender and alcohol will be sold directly to guests, with the Prizery receiving the payment.
Lessee Provided Bar
- Lessee can provide their own alcohol and bartender for the event, renter must acquire a Virginia ABC Banquet License
We provide 20 round 6ft tables, 200 chairs, a rolling bar, and podium. You are more than welcome to bring your own tables and chairs, and whatever else you may need for your special day.
No candles, unless they are the drip-less variety, may be used. Taping, gluing, stapling, nailing, or otherwise attaching any item to any portion of the building is prohibited.
We do not allow use of candles, fireworks, sparklers or any type of exposed fire in the building or the parking lot. You are more than welcome to bring in a food truck to be parked outside of the building.
